I'm so scared of bears. I would not have stuck around.

Yeah when I realised the black thing in the tree was another bear- a cub- I was totally freaked and we booked outta there.

So did you draw the comic while camping? What was that like? I do my best work at the laundromat. I thought the cub was going to break out into Woody Guthrie "this land is my land/this land is your land" thing, but it he was a little more gangsta. Anyway, great work, especially if it was done in the woods.

I started another comic all about fire building in the woods- but abandoned it after we saw the bear. I would never ink in the woods just draw and lay out- which is the hard part anyway (for me) the inking is just the icing on the cake.

Which makes this thought occur to me: If K and C made the same sound, inking and icing would be homonyms!

I thought the same thing daniel did, about "this land is my land. . . ." I wonder Ms. Brazil if you have read Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" yet? I just was thinking that cuz it is rooted in beliefs we bring with us, from our coal-mining imigrant foremothers or/and beliefs and superstitions we make for ourselves and, he is such a stellar graphic novel writer.
